Autism, ADHD and Cognitive Assessments for Children & Adolescents aged 6 - 18 years.
Ashlee is a clinical psychologist who has been supporting neurodivergent people across the past 9 years. She welcomes people from all backgrounds and aims to provide a safe and inclusive space.
What’s involved?
-
Assessments take place face-to-face in Moonee Ponds, Victoria. Some parts of the assessment can be completed via telehealth, if this is the preference.
-
Autism & ADHD Assessment (total fee $3500):
First session: Parent intake / developmental history (90 minutes; face-to-face or telehealth)
Questionnaires: a series of questionnaires to be completed online, in your own time. Ashlee may also request to speak with a trusted teacher at your child / adolescent’s school.
Second session: Observational assessment with child / adolescent (90 minutes; face-to-face)
Third session: Cognitive Assessment (WISC-V) with child / adolescent (90 minutes; face-to-face). For those over 13 years of age, this will be another observational assessment, however a cognitive assessment can be included upon request for those up to the age of 16 years and 11 months. Cognitive assessments can provide information about your child / adolescent’s learning and how best to accommodate their needs at school and home.
Fourth session: Feedback (50 minutes; face-to-face or telehealth)
Final report: received via email 4 - 6 weeks post feedback session.
Please note: this fee is an estimate only, based on the standard assessment process. If changes to the standard process are required, there may be additional fees. Ashlee will endeavour to let you know the assessment structure as early as possible
-
As part of the assessment package, you will receive a comprehensive report at the conclusion of assessment. This report will outline the outcome of the assessment, background history that you have shared, results from assessment tools used, recommendations and helpful resources.
These reports can be helpful to share with teachers and other professionals involved in your child / adolescent’s care.
Where eligible, reports can also be used as evidence to support a request to access NDIS. This is possible as Ashlee is a clinical psychologist and therefore able to provide a single clinician diagnosis for the purpose of NDIS. She will also complete an adaptive behaviour assessment, which is required as part of an NDIS application. Please be aware that a formal diagnosis does not guarantee NDIS eligibility.
-
For those under the age of 25 years, Medicare rebates are available for parts of the assessment via MBS item number 82000. This will require a ‘Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder Assessment’ referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician
-
The first step is to book the initial intake / developmental history appointment. Further sessions will then be organised during this appointment.
All appointments are made via an online booking system.
You will receive an itemized invoice after each session. Feedback cannot occur and reports can not be released until all fees have been paid.
If completing the assessment via videoconferencing, you must have access to a computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection.
